OS now saying that the "crowd" will be in excess of 21000, so the 20,000 figure quoted earlier wasn't just the home-end tickets - it was the total.

Our league attendances this season. Sorry Schards, I was in your camp at the start of the season, but I can admit that as the season has panned out, any concerns about our ability to continue to attract home fans are evaporated. 5 of the last 6 have sold out.

You really are making me laugh now. 2000 seats left and you're saying there is simply no demand? If we had 38,000 stadium there's no way we would be selling out, but I suspect there would have been more than 24,000 there. It's just the way it works. If there is a guarantee that there will be tickets available and people don't have to worry about none available then there will be more just turning up on the day. The fact is that last night without checking this lovely site or the OS then you wouldn't be sure if there were any available. And even if you did check the site and were told that 20,000 had been sold, you still wouldn't be sure if that meant there were any available as this thread shows.

I fully expect you to continue with your blinkered argument though, so go ahead. You will be venting your spleen to yourself though.

To add to what others have said, the fact it was an FA Cup replay on a school night would have kept a lot of folks from taking their kids along, what with the possibilities of extra time and penalties. That's going to cut down on your potential market right there.

Unlike the Man Utd replay last year, there aren't hoards of kids who 'support' Spurs in the same way that there are for Man Utd, so you don't have the same level of pester power from the child wanting to see his or her heroes.

Have to agree to some extent with cmonurz, if those are the attendances. What annoyed me at the start was that people were denying a drop of several hundred fans was even happening. It was. Just because you don't like it don't mean its not there. But those last attendances are up there with last season.

That said, I phoned the ticket office at 6 last night and was able to pretty much choose where I sat in the ground.

We had our "reserves" playing which I know puts off a lot of STHs, there were alot of unfamiliar faces near us last night which implies to me that when STHs don't take up their seats others want to enjoy the madstad experience, if we had more seats for league games they'd be able to do so more often
