Forest in advance talks with Jesse Lingard and are willing to smash their wage structure to get him.

They clearly appear to be going down the shit or bust route to PL recruitment. If they stay up, then they'll be OK, if they go down esp. as Lingard will be wanting upwards of 100k pw (some reports saying he wants 180k and could get that abroad) - then they could be in a world of pain if they drop.

The fact that Lingard hasn't found a club despite being publicly on the market for the last year should tell him all he needs to know about his wage demands.

The Athletic are reporting that the £180k figure is a red herring too and that it's close to half that (though still enough to make him comfortably their highest earner). So it makes sense as a deal.

Following the Schmeichel news, Leicester looking to hijack Fulham's move for Bernd Leno, albeit the keeper would rather stay in London and has agreed personal terms with Fulham.

Amongst a few signings, Fulham have acquired Israeli winger Manor Solomon. Interesting this as they have taken advantage of a ruling that I didn't know had been applied - owing to the ongoing conflict, FIFA is allowing foreign players at Ukrainian clubs to suspend their contracts for one year from 31st July. So Solomon is effectively a 'free agent', but will rejoin Shakhtar Donetsk next August.
