Saddens me this. Of course it is fine to go there somewhere down the line but I'd have loved to have seen him in the Premier League for a few years first.Winston Biscuit wrote:Being reported that Bellingham to Real Madrid is all agreed. €100M + €20M.

And he would have gone to Liverpool if they hadn't had such a miserable (by their standards) season that necessitates them basically ripping out their entire midfield and rebuilding. They need to get 4/5 players in and, unlike City or Madrid who just buy buy buy, Liverpool - sadly for their supporters - try to run themselves pretty efficiently on the financial front. They'll spend around £120m-£150m this summer but it'll be on a number of players rather than just one and hoping that'll fix everything.NathStPaul wrote:Saddens me this. Liverpool have a higher net spend over the last decade or so than Real Madrid.Sutekh wrote:And he would have gone to Liverpool if they hadn't had such a miserable (by their standards) season that necessitates them basically ripping out their entire midfield and rebuilding. Of course if they'd spent some last summer on getting midfielder in they might not be in such a poor position now and able to splash out on Bellingham - though I imagine the price may have been higher had both clubs been chasing him.

We weren't though as he wouldn't come for a few weeks and neville got sackedgenome wrote:We were THIS close to watching Phil Neville managing Lionel Messi. ffs.

Fat Sam is loitering around the job centre though. Just think how good Messi could be once the best manager in the world ever gets to coach him.genome wrote:We were THIS close to watching Phil Neville managing Lionel Messi. ffs.
Newcastle should be throwing everything at Rice to get him there. Would obviously be a hard sell given Man City, Bayern are involved in the conversation.URZZZZ wrote:Sullivan confirms Rice is off this summer. Strange timing - 12 hours after their first trophy win in years
He’s a better player than Phillips but he needs to be careful his career doesn’t go the same way, been a really disappointing season for Phillips
Liverpool are looking to rebuild their midfield and were linked to him a year or two ago. But then the price West Ham will be asking would probably put them off. Heard a suggestion he might be off to Italy.NathStPaul wrote:Newcastle should be throwing everything at Rice to get him there.
