Pogrebnyak to Fulham?

by soggy biscuit » 03 May 2013 12:29

Pog was at Fulham's training yesterday. Though could have just been visiting m8's I suppose.

That is all

I know someone who was there yesterday for a meeting unrelated to football. They saw him park his car and stroll in. They have taken a picture of his car there and sent it to me, it a Jag (i think, I know nothing about cars) which number plate X5 POG

They can have him. He scored 6 in 12 for them 3 against a shite Wolves team.

Thankyou, I'm pretty sure none of us were aware of those facts before you just posted them.

I think he is a good player, not prolific by any means, but McDermott just didn't play to his strengths.
he isn't the most mobile so to ask him to play up front on his own and chase lost causes isn't his game.
if you can get people in and around him he would be dangerous as for the number of chances we actually created for him, he seemed to get on target and even score. he was never gonna sprint past any defenders.
in essence if we had bought in a nippy striker we would have been much more of a goal threat in the bigger games against teams around us.

He'll have to take a wage cut - as we only got him because we offered more than Fulham were prepared to pay him....

If he isn't prepared to, and if there's no provision for relegation in his contract, then why would he take a cut in pay?

(and don;t forget the deals to sign-him were done by the owner, not necessarily involving those who normally draw up the deals.....)

Just realised that I said he was at Fulham's training yesterday when I meant to say Fulhams training ground obv. He wasn't taking part in training (I don't think :o )

What says he'll have to take a pay cut? The owner might be happy with him and with him being on what he is on................

Really hope he stays, without him we wouldn't have managed a fraction of the points we have and probably would have been battered every week.
Hardly ever gives the ball away and would thrive playing Adkins' style.

If he does go I can safely say that I will never forget him holding off two defenders and somehow knocking the ball past Ben Foster to win against West Brom, then to sprinting to the corner flag and ripping his shirt off to spark some mental celebrations.

If he went to Fulham, that is - unless Fulham are prepared to pay him more than they were this time last year.

Ah, gotcha. Missed the point.

If anything their negotiating position has strengthened.
