That's what I said to my littlen, no other sensible reason for examining peoples member cards otherwise.paultheroyal wrote:Stewards were actually looking for a specific person and I will leave it at that!

Maybe you should have found out the reason first before having a go at the stewards. They clearly weren't doing it for fun as they obviously do have better things to do. Now it's been explained why people were being asked for their STs you should rethink the title of your thread. I have always found the stewards to be perfectly decent and fair and often wonder why they put up with the abuse they get from some of the so called 'fans'.loyalroyaldaz wrote:Dont know what it was all about but why the hell were they stopping people going through from the concourses today in the East Stand.
My son went to get food and when he came back they told him he couldnt go through the Y24 tunnel and that he had to go through the Y25 one.
They were checking eveyones and turning people away.
Surely they have better things to do than that !!
Plus they didn't ask me for mine, so you probably just look like a wrong-un.M Brook wrote:Maybe you should have found out the reason first before having a go at the stewards. think i may have seen him there!
As I said in the 'pyro' thread it's not to do with people moving about, people who move to Y25/26 don't take people's seats, they stand on the concrete at the back, the stewards know this and don't mind, they stand next to them and in fact can occasionally engage in friendly conversation. This was the same on Sunday, the stewards did not mind people being stood there and it was clearly obvious people being in the wrong seats was not the issue they were trying to resolve.loyalroyaldaz wrote:And there is sod all to stop you going in at Y20 and walking along the stand to Y25 so again pointless and this crap about being the best timw to do it when its a smaller crowd !!
Surely when its a sell out then you couldnt change seats anyway and does it really matter if you change seat so long as you are not not taking somebody elses ?
I have sat in the same aeat every game since the Mad Stad opened and people around me do it all the time.
