It’s just speculation, that’s the fun of transfer rumours, not like there’s no chance of it happening as a) a 31 year old is likely to want a longer contract(his Brentford one expires in July) b) seems to be affordable baring in mind the things I’ve just listed, c) they also lost their key player and one of their best defenders to Birmingham last summer, weirder moves have happened

TBF I think Jaap has tried a plan B from time to time only to be scuppered by the players ineptitude e.g. playing two strikers at Wednesday yet being let down by abysmal finishing and defending you'd struggle to see at a Sunday morning pub match.

Good point ... we missed 3 gilt-edged chances against Sheffield that any League 2 striker would expect to bury ... well at least 2 of them (the Edwards one was probably the hardest).

Seen a rumour on Twitter that Brentford are touting him around for just over £1million. Reading should do everything they can to sign him if thats the case, fantastic Championship player.

It would be fairly believeable with him being out of contract in the summer. Sources far from reliable though, looks like pure speculation but I am keeping a hopeful eye on it.
