If they follow the league procedure for failing to complete the season due to a massive public health issue, good luck to anyone who thinks they'll get any traction in the courts with legal action.Tony Le Mesmer wrote:Worth its own thread this one as this is not going to be easy to sort out.
I think that they will do everything that they possibly can to complete the current season. Even if that means waiting until the summer.
If they null and void the season, or settle it on PPG, someone is going to get fcked over which ever way they do it and legal proceedings will follow.
Contract situations do complicate things, but that's not an insurmountable problem.
The gap is 6 and 7 points respectively. How could that be justified with 9 games to go?AthleticoSpizz wrote:Possibles being that they may promote Leeds and Brummidge and run with a 22 team Premier next season with four to be relegated at the end of it?
nobodies saying it’s justified (a bit like denying Liverpool the title), hopefully it won’t be necessary.Snowflake Royal wrote:The gap is 6 and 7 points respectively. The league is completed, or a damn site closer than it is now, or season voided... only real way and already part of the rules everyone signed up to.
Parachute payments that won't be needed could be spread around to help clubs maybe.
L1 is 2 and 7.
Keeping hold of Filipe Anderson? They might take it, tbh.6ft Kerplunk wrote:Someone should tell Karen Brady that if the season gets cancelled that it'll start again in August but all clubs must have the same manager and players as they did in August '19. See how keen she is on it then.
League Cup 100% should be binned off. I would consider changing the Champions League too for a season. 32 Champions of Europes top leagues in a mini tournament playing home and away legs.genome wrote:Could they cancel the domestic cups?
Come back after the summer and complete this season, then take a break, start the season late (October, for example) but don't bother with the League Cup or FA Cup. Should free up a considerable number of evenings and weekends
That may catch on - they could call it the European CupOld Man Andrews wrote:League Cup 100% should be binned off.
