away supporters in the home end

What do the club do to away supporters in the home end. Obviously if they blend in and don't get noticed nothing, but what if one was to celebrate a goal. Do they just get thrown out or handed to the police and charged. And if they do charge them what do they charge them for?

They should be chucked out straight away.

Also, anyone entering the home ends with a Man U hat, jacket, shirt or badge should also be kicked out. Surely the stewards should be looking for this.

I would dread to think what would happen to the idiot stupid enoguh to celebrate a chelski or manure goal whilst in the home ends.

Only in those areas inhabited by half wits who think that rioting is a solution to anything. Everywhere else there would be a steward inviting them, quietly but forcibly, to leave; encouraged by irate, disgruntled Reading supporters.

I've got myself a ticket in the Reading game. I'm not drinking and I'm not worried about a kickin. I won't be chanting or wearing United colours, the only worry is I may give it away if United score. I don't mind being ejected then I just don't want to get nicked for it. What is the club policy on this?

On the few occasions that I have seen it happen the response has varied. Where the interloper has simply cheered a bit and 'outed' themselves relatively quietly they have usually just been invited to go (and generally accepted their fate); where they have leapt to their feet cheering wildly and, effectively, taunted the home fans the steward response has been a tad more forceful.

I doubt you'll get nicked just escorted from the ground and sent on your merry way.

You will probably have your member card removed if you have one, or if bought on someone elses card, they will have theirs removed.

There was about half a dozen Leeds fans sat a few rows in front of us last season at the Mad Stad - when they they scored they stood up cheering - no one complained, kicked off and they weren't asked to leave.

I should point out I was in the upper west

I do recall though some manc fan who thought it was a blinding idea to come stand on the right side of the bank with his kids I think - during the FA Cup game a good few years ago. As memory serves he got a smack in the face when he cheered their first goal

You take the riks of somone having a pop at you; if that happens then its your own fault. You could then get arrested and have a 3-year fooball banning order

Well I still think there may be trouble. Depends on where this occurred. South stand I doubt anything would happen. But somewhere in the east stands, probably would kick off a bit.

If you are using someone else's ticket or member card to get your ticket, I would imagine they would be in more trouble with the club than you

Long as you join in the "SHIT!" chant everytime the Utd fans start chanting "United" you should be ok.

There was a Sheff Utd fan in the row along from me last season - he cheered when Utd scored, and then was removed by stewards. He seemed to accept his fate quite readily.

I've had away supporters sat round me before, and usually it's fine. i think it depends on the "needle" in the game, though.

I have on many occasions sat with an away fan in the East stand and will be doing the same for the Man City game. I have never had any problems at all even if they have their team's shirt on.

I think that would be fine. I have taken one or two friends who supported the opposite team. However, I think Aggro is going on his own!
