The reason the media hate him is because when Jose went all the press told us Grant was totally out of his depth, all the players would refuse to play for him and he'd be sacked by Christmas.

Because they are all still mourning the loss of Mourinho. He was a "in-your-face" character, and was the perfect manager for Chelsea as he loved to spout crap and piss people off - just like the players, just like the fans. Unfortunately Avram Grant is much more of a subdued (sp?) character, and actually has a bit of decorum about himself.
