I'm sure I read somewhere that this year they'd decided to get boys from the Academy to do it rather than have trials or whatever they used to do, but I can't find anything about it now.

Spot on, the club took the decision at the start of the season that they'd use the U14/15 players from now on. Not too sure what they're reasoning is, but think its something to do with including the younger players in the whole club setup.

They were crap as well yesterday - you'd think they'd at least watch and understand the game.

On one occasion the ball was on the corner spot waiting for a corner to be taken and the ballboy rolled the ball on as if for a goal- kick, and on another we were looking to take a quick corner but the ballboy with the ball was staring out into space in a little world of his own.

Actually, when you put it like that the less time the ball is on the pitch the less chance we have of giving it away or conceding.
