LOL @ sacking a manager who has just taken you to two successive promotions. They have goals in that team of theirs and given that Reading are already down they only had to finish above two other teams in order to have enjoyed a successful season.

I would guess at a break down in manager/board relationship after Reading's attempts to poach in the summer and Ferguson's stated desire to talk to us. He's free now so boot Rodgers out and bring Fergie in!
