Suppose that might be good for us, because:

a. that result would really scupper the USA's chances.
b. maybe they'd put a weaker team out against us.

Mexico won't want to finish second in the group. Which I believe a draw would mean, then Argentina and bye byes.

slovenia are hopeless and were outplayed by an algeria side that ireland b beat 3-0 a few weeks back, i just hope usa go at them coz no doubt slovenia will sit back, content with a draw......i just don't feel like watching another game where both teams are so afraid to lose they forget that football isn't rugby and fail to pass the ball forward at any stage

Donovan and Dempsey should have enough quality to break down the Slovene defence, tbh.

Rather like the US formation - 2 hard working defensive midfielders, 2 creative midfielders that have a bit of room to go wide, tuck in and 2 beasts of burden up front. Get them a decent striker rather than ALOLtidore and they'd be a hell of a lot more effective.
