I think that it may've been Vera, the eventual goal-scorer, who kept play alive by settling a high ball and preventing it from going into touch out on the left

Whoever it was did fine work in keeping it alive and then feeding Barrios, who then played in Vera for the goal --with both of them being watched closely

I'm very, very fond of watching Paraguay play this game and am always pleased to get a look at 'em in any international competition

What a sequence that was from Paraquay with the triangle on the left, the one-touch passes, Santa Cruz down the wing and Vera's header into the ground and wide --all of that would've been well worth a goal had it ended differently
