Napoli President, De Laurentiis James Rodriguez is the most profitable player in the world after Ronaldo and Messi.

Also

Napoli President, De Laurentiis €42 million is too much to pay for James Rodriguez.

Well he's either really profitable and you'll make your money back in no time or he costs too much but he can't be both mate.

Talking of youngsters, Liverpool apparently set to win the race to sign Fulham's 16 year old Harvey Elliott - he was at their 6-0 pre-season win at Tranmere last night, where Rhian Brewster scored twice on his first appearance for the 'senior' side.

Elliott is 15 in this photo, the old looking chav.

Presumably that means Neymar isn't.

Sam Byram joins Norwich for £750,000. Seems like a bargain really, although he has been very injury prone recently.

Remember him being touted as one to watch in the future.

the person you definitely want in your squad when you are facing a really tough season, where you could be right up against it and may well lose more games than you win is Ravel Morrison

You should know you're doing it wrong when you sign your first professional terms at Manchester United, yet at 25 years old you are on your 9th club, and are only being offered a one-year deal.

De Ligt to earn up to €416k a week, including bonuses should Juventus win the CL. He's 19.

You can see why players go to Riaola

That wage surely becomes a big problem once he is 3 years into his 5 year contract and starts negotiating his next deal on even higher wages

Another interesting part of his contract is that his buy out clause (which looks relatively low at £135m), doesn't come into effect for three years. Am sure Juventus will look to renegotiate that at some point.

As an aside, Turin is a dive, albeit I'm sure the club will sort him out somewhere nice to live outside of the city.

If he turns out to be shite* they won't be able to get rid of him as no one will pay that amount of wage

United are experiencing this at the mo with the likes of Sanchez and Lukaku,

PSG with Neymar etc

They may as well go the whole hog and sign Nile Ranger too.
