Well, I think we can safely say that basically no one thinks we should avoid all of those.genome wrote:So from what I gather from this forum, people don't want us to buy:
Premier League cast offs
Premier League young loanees
Experienced, older free agents
Foreigners with no Championship experience
Players who have been relegated
Players from the lower leagues
... who exactly does that leave us with?

I hope our transfer policy doesn’t stoop to buying players who would be ok if they were not good enough to keep us in this division !Snowflake Royal wrote:The good thing about quality players from the lower leagues, is if you get relegated you know they can cut it.

Worked his way up the leagues on loan. Rotherham, Swindon, Brentford, Reading..................TiagoIlori wrote: I don’t see why being from the lower leagues makes a player automatically more hungry though. John Swift came from Chelsea known as just a youth prospect, in his four years with us he’s matured and has become known as one of the most technically gifted players in the championship.

I don’t think that’s quite the same thing to be honest. Very rarely do you find a youth player good enough for the championship that hasn’t played in the lower leagues.Lower West wrote:Worked his way up the leagues on loan.
