Are you saying you think he should be sacked Brogue? Just trying to get it clearBrogue wrote: ↑25 Apr 2026 17:06 9 points off the playoffs
12 points above the drop
At one point in the game Exeter were winning and we were losing we were 1 point closer to the playoffs than to the drop zone.
When hunt was sacked we were 9 points off the playoffs and 2 points above the drop.
So despite Richardson being giving far more backing we are essentially 10 points better off.
I mean, we've had an atrocious injury list as well, not saying that's all bad luck, a lot of those who picked up injuries were already injury prone. Need a more consistently available squad next season.Brogue wrote: ↑25 Apr 2026 17:06 9 points off the playoffs

I think you can excuse maybe filling a squad with too many injury prone players when you've had to rebuild from near scratch as we did this season but make it a pattern, then there's something wrong with the recruitment.
Must not overlook the fact that Richardson himself has exacerbated the injury situation himself by 'wrestling' with the medical team and playing players who have not fully recovered from previous injuries - Marriott being the most recent case in point.tidus_mi2 wrote: ↑25 Apr 2026 17:11I mean, we've had an atrocious injury list as well, not saying that's all bad luck, a lot of those who picked up injuries were already injury prone. We always have an atrocious injury list. I can’t remember the last time we didn’t.tidus_mi2 wrote: ↑25 Apr 2026 17:11I mean, we've had an atrocious injury list as well, not saying that's all bad luck, a lot of those who picked up injuries were already injury prone. At least some proportion of injury proneness is down to preparation (or lack of), and strength and conditioning work.
All the outside noise and a player going to the local press disrupting the "family" in the dressing room, from what I could make out.AthleticoSpizz wrote: ↑25 Apr 2026 21:40 Listened to the game on BBCB whilst decorating one of the spare rooms today…..yeah ‘watching paint dry’ and all that.
Pre match they featured our star keeper, but had to bleep-out a lot of his comments because he was so wound-up.
Only caught bits of it, anyone know the back-story and what his beef was?
Ta, he certainly wasn’t happy was he?The Royal Forester wrote: ↑26 Apr 2026 10:33All the outside noise and a player going to the local press disrupting the "family" in the dressing room, from what I could make out.AthleticoSpizz wrote: ↑25 Apr 2026 21:40 Listened to the game on BBCB whilst decorating one of the spare rooms today…..yeah ‘watching paint dry’ and all that.

In recent seasons I've excused it because we seemed to be operating with two hands behind our backs but it can't really continue now.grey_squirrel wrote: ↑26 Apr 2026 09:29We always have an atrocious injury list. Do we think it immediately gets better or is it more a gradual improvement?tidus_mi2 wrote: ↑26 Apr 2026 13:45In recent seasons I've excused it because we seemed to be operating with two hands behind our backs but it can't really continue now.grey_squirrel wrote: ↑26 Apr 2026 09:29We always have an atrocious injury list. Realistically, they're not just gonna off-load all the players that have reccurring injury problems but hopefully there is at least a bit of better planning involved going forward.stealthpapes wrote: ↑26 Apr 2026 14:26Do we think it immediately gets better or is it more a gradual improvement?tidus_mi2 wrote: ↑26 Apr 2026 13:45In recent seasons I've excused it because we seemed to be operating with two hands behind our backs but it can't really continue now.grey_squirrel wrote: ↑26 Apr 2026 09:29
