Just back from the SCL Westwood 3 Tadley Calleva reserves 2 in some cup final !!
Decent game-Tadley led twice before being pegged back and Westwood snatched it with a 90th Minute winner.
I know it’s a bit sad but the highlight for me was i got in early, before the stewards were around so i decided to walk on the pitch - only for a short while

Yup - tis indeed 'Posset' who've transgressed - failed a grading deadline to install the necessary seated stands by March '26.
... so suffer the consequences of enforced demotion.

Have issued a statement claiming the FA misled them about applying for an extension to the deadline.

May also mean a reprieve in-division for Willand.

.....and other 'rumblings' that Mousehole may be seeking voluntary demotion now too - presumably on financial grounds?

Mousehole indeed have voluntarily demoted to the SW Peninsular League. An account on X @NonLeagueMaps has suggested that both Winchester City and AFC Stoneham might slide across to the Isthmian League, don’t know whether you can throw any light on this.

That would be a shame about Mousehole, a group of us were thinking of visiting for the local derby with Hungerford.

Spooky was just posting: .. reported on NLM that Mousehole have formally requested 'demotion' back to the SWL - so effectively down to STEP07?

The west Devon/Cornwall bit of the Pyramid has always been a bit fluid around it's 'Steps' :

...with St Austell effectively 'going under' and mumblings that Saltash may soon follow Mousehole back to County level - it's not a good time for for the Duchy.

'Prince Billy' had just sorted some funding out for a new access road for Mousehole too a recent as November .... albeit it was not a very big one?

A major factor for these far-flung Western outfits, of course, is the travelling.
- transport hire costs have gone through the roof in the last few years and no-one wants to spend half-a-day sat in a mini-bus -
- the price of investment in anything grander, would make it prohibitive for all but the top level sides.

Not seen any speculation over on NLM yet re any resultant 'seat-shifting' - plenty of other 'tiles' moving about on the re-allocation 'landscape' - as it were - and a few more to come I'd expect?

Justice is done as Rochdale are promoted - but they made it really hard for themselves, and needed a 90+6 equaliser and a shoot-out win!

Ryan East now plays for Rochdale so good reason for them to win.

Great finish though, shame the final doesn’t get free to air coverage on terrestrial TV.

And Boreham Wood was the first place we got to see Stam and his exciting take on playing the game.

......in other news N.Berks league is folding - only had 10 First XI across x2 divisions - not long ago had 5 divisions and was thriving but opted NOT to stay as an RFL to the Pyramid and hence 'leaked' sides to other County Level leagues....

......and reportedly Letcombe FC are no more - shame - was a lovely location and they spent lots on a new clubhouse but NIMBY-ISM wins out and they don't have the local interest to keep it going

Recent news snippet from Rivermoor: Dave 'Tarps' Tarpey has left his Assistant Manager role at the club - not seen info yet on what/who/where for.

Had 'retired' (ACL injury) from playing on his arrival at the 'Cityzens' (from Marlow) but made 11 'surprise' appearances in his 2 yrs there.

The other Asst Mgr Michael Butcher, also departs Scours - made over 250 appearances for the club.

Not sure whether FB links work, but after the pen was given, he sprints 60 yards into the penalty area and lays down next to the spot, feigning cramp for 3 or 4 mins. The ref has no option but to get the physio on for him, but gives him a yellow when he gets up.

V.little of note for FA Cup Final day - might see if any Oxford Sen League 'mop up' games go ahead .... some clubs will often try & change KOs to an earlier time or just as likely not play the fixure at all if there's 'nothing riding on it'.

Clubs can struggle for numbers as plenty of county level players commit to Crikkit.

Rural & council-run grounds can be unavailable from late Apr/May, to make way for it too?

The TVPL is attempting to complete it's own new-this-season 'FA Cup' competition
- is now at the S-F stage : both are scheduled for Sat PM 23rd May @ Rivermoor:

Surprised no-one 'in' from Middx or Surrey Leagues - but doubtless would overload the already significant majority of D1 clubs in a groundshare.

Chalfont St P. presumably gone down to TVPL (or possibly SSM2?)

Belstone back in from SSM1 - weren't far off promotion so could be a strong addition : as well as Bovingdon (nr Hemel) up from SSM2.

Maidenhead Town's g/s @ Burnham sees them nominally in Div 1 too - they thought about it last yr but stayed put.

Expect a few more unfolds and reversals to come in the close season......

Ta - as I said above had only looked down the provisional CCL allocations .... so far ...... hadn't checked where Sandhurst had gone .... makes some sense with Cove, Ash & Frimley Gn already in the WESS-1.
Camberley must be on the 'cusp' as it were - and may have been shifted as well, had they not been reprieved?
Probably considered as conveniently close to the M3 'corridor' for travel down to the Wessex Clubs predominantly in the Hants/Dorset/W.Sussex footprint etc

With the 'Fizzers' moving 'west' is a bit odd that Tadley stay put in the CCL at the STEP above - and are joined by Yateley Utd in CCL-PS moving the other way FROM Wessex?
