What would you do if that 'away' supporter openly celebrated two goals yesterday and was sitting next to you? You would accept it and do nothing even if, at that time, they could of scored a third?

God forbid any of the Reading support sitting in the oppositions end. That has never happened before has it.

I know someone who sat in the away end of the South a few years back. Did make me chuckle when he started having banter with the East.

Certainly where i sit there would be little tolerance to an opposition supporter. Have seen a few forced out of Y25 over the years but i'm not surprised you can get away with it in most other parts of the ground.

The biggest problem might be if there were too many nutters from either side who took exception. If a scuffle broke out and somebody got hurt, there could be awkward questions to be answered.

Remember going to Ayresome Park in around '87 for Middlesborough v Reading not long after they had been declared extinct only to be thankfully resurrected. Two 'borough fans sat with us in the away end to say thanks to everyone for coming and helping the club out. They did it all season for visiting fans there. I would happily sit by those type of fans, home or away, any day of the week.

If you're in the opposition part of the stadium you should keep your mouth shut, easier said than done I know but it's common sense.

Let me think..... Newcastle fan going mad when they score, stewards sit there doing nothing about the complaints.

I was sitting in the disabled section in the corner of the north and main stand when Newcastle scored there was a bloke behind me who got very excited and started chearing a steward did speak to himbut if it's the bloke I think you're talking about then technically speaking he wasn't exactly in the home end as when I turned around to look he appppeaed to be sitting in one of the seats in the hospitality boxes.

well it does and i have done it twice, but the difference is i have the common decency (and common sense) to a) not wear colours b) keep my mouth firmly closed!

oh i realise. my point is, that i dont have a problem with it as such (would be a tad hypocritical), but they SHOULD be ejected if they are openly celebrating/wearing colours. but yes, body language is a bit of a give away anyway.

It would depend on a number of factors as you say.
In your face celebration and winding up those around them.
How meek those are around them.
The standard of stewarding.
Only with the first point would I have a real issue.

agreed - I certainly don't have a problem with it and can't really understand why people get so upset just because a handful of people in the home end have celerbrated a goal scored by the away team .similar comments on another thread were made after the Spurs game but the fact is Reading like any other club will have a percentage of fans who go every home game but support another club and will understandably chear their club when they visit the Madejski,.

Crystal Palace 2 years ago, I sat in the home end near the dugouts with a Palace supporting friend of the family, it was the game we drew 3-3? I struggled to contain my emotion when I shouted for the penalty. But politely clapped when they scored.

because for various reasons not every person is able to go and travel to see their team play some times it's because of long distances involved or because like my self being disabled.
