Freeze prizes and keep the under 7s free which is an amazing deal and I would be very happy!

This ^^^^ + put the age up to Under 8's as my eldest wont get a free ST next season under the current scheme. All three of us have been to every single home game plus the cup games and even a few away games. So I think the plan to get more people going to games has worked. Yes there are probably a few empty seats during the midweek games that belong to an U7 but not as many as I thought there would be

a family season ticket works out as only 25 quid extra per kid, so its not the end of the world

But you can only get a family season ticket in the north stand

Have a load of friends where we sit. Not the end of the world if I have to pay for 1 kids ST as I had to this year cos I only bought one adult ST .

Ticket pricing and kits for 2016-17

The Club were still discussing ticket pricing policy for 2016-17 and ideally would announce details towards the end of March. STAR were asked their views and said a) they would not expect a general increase b) they would look for more reciprocal pricing deals for away supporters and c) that 18 year-olds should be placed in the lower age band as they were generally still in education and therefore the young adult band should be 19-24, not 18-24.

AB reported that all the key attendance measures were up on the previous season which was indicative of the success of the current strategies.

The Club confirmed there would be a new kit design based on blue and white hoops for 2016-17.

Fair. Hopefully the club will adhere to Woodcote's wishes and increase OAPs and concessions to £30, rectifying this shenanigans once and for all.

The pricing at the moment is very good. What the club need to do is try and attract more supporters, not just bring back the ones who only show up when we're doing well.

I agree that reducing the price probably isn't going to increase the take up that much. The Rotherham game where they were literally giving tickets away for free had the lowest attendance of the season.

However i'm not going to turn down paying less. Happy for them to put it down as much as possible.

"Hull are understood to be the first English club to offer such a plan, with monthly membership starting at £21 up to £51 a month – £13 a game if they were in the top flight – and new Oyster-style smart cards used for entry to the KC Stadium. The existing annual season ticket charge will be replaced by a rolling direct debit."

That works out at around £20 per game (for the most expensive membership) in the Championship; for comparison, our season tickets were around £17 per game this season (£19 in Upper West). Personally, I couldn't support this at Reading, although I would if there was something like this along side standard Season Tickets. Would be interesting to see if Reading look into something like this in the future.

I actually would prefer to pay a fix monthly direct debit rather than paying it all in one go in April/May/June/July. I know there are existing finance systems but they're all a pain to sign up to and (I think) have interest on top.

The whole thing about giving higher away ticket priority to people who take out more expensive membership sounds worrying though.

Isn't this essentially just a different method of payment for the same thing, plus a slight jiggling of seat prices in different areas and some added perks you can pay for?

It's seems pretty sensible, but I'm not sure how it would work with club's dodgy finances and what if someone decides halfway through the season they're not interested anymore? Can they cancel their membership - presumably they're obliged to pay the full year, in which case what happens if they cancel their DD and stop going? Are you going to have clubs engaging debt collectors and using the county court to claim the missing payments? Do the seats that they should be paying for remain empty or do they get resold?

I went on finance this year; makes it far easier paying £39.50pm and freed up money in the summer for the family.

Definitely. Cashless system all paid for on your member card and you get a point per pound (or similar). Works very well in Germany I believe and the schnitzels and lager are terrific

That sounds like quite a good scheme, although it would be interesting to know how what the Palace fan's experience is of it. Seems to give you points on merchandise as well, which could encourage people to buy the new kit each season (for example)

I think the thing that I'd want most from the scheme that Palace have is that they give more loyalty points to fans who go to less attractive away matches, that could be something that the club could look at (for both home and away games) - it could help boost attendances at less attractive games if people felt that they would benefit from going to it.
