By complaining about the state of the pitch after rugby is played on it, you are complaining on any rugby being played on it, thus complaining about the groundshare.

Either that, or you're complaining about the weather which, if bad enough, ruins a pitch with just football being played on it.

There's a difference between expressing concern that the pitch may be in a bad state for some crucial games (which I did) and complaining about the cause of it (which I didn't).

Anyone else slightly concerned that it's going to get trashed by the rugby.

Someone voicing concern that the pitch his team plays on may not be in good condition for the upcoming matches.

What it isn't is someone complaining about the ground share.

I thought I was being realistic in not expecting the London Irish game to be called off, especially after selling over over 23,000 tickets, because Schards had seen a puddle whilst out walking his dog. However, I now realise I should apologise because as well of his knowledge of stadium layout and design he is obviously an expert both on drainage and sports ground maintenance. We are very lucky to be able to read his views and it is even better that his wife chooses to share her expertise with us on many diverse subjects such as cash free retailing, catering, bar management, crowd dynamics and control, ticketing sales and seat allocation etc.
I am also sorry that my log in gives the wrong impression that I am a steward as I am merely a season ticket holder and a fan! I would not like my personal views to taint the reputation of the many staff for whom I have much more respect than many on here. Much as you may despise them the ground would not be allowed to open without their attendance for safety reasons.

Every word of Yellowcoat's two posts have been complete and utter garbage but the highlight is the straw man argument about the possible cancellation of the rugby game, something nobody had even suggested.

I understand that this guy used to be a steward, if that's the case, the people skills demonstrated by his two ignorant rants go a long way to illustrating why there is such a problem with stewarding issues at this club.

While I share people's concerns, I was at the rugby yesterday and it didn't rain during the game and the pitch didn't appear to be cutting up at all. It actually looks a lot better than at this stage of the season in previous years and a lot better than quite a number of pitches that don't have rugby on them.

Oh, it's really not that difficult.

We have three crucial games coming up. In the morning it was pouring with rain and the ground, where I was, was absolutely sodden. It occured to me that, with a rugby game being played that day, there was a danger that the pitch may cut up badly and hamper our chances in said three games so, when I was on hob nob shortly after, I thought i'd voice my concerns. As it turns out, it stopped raining and the pitch proved pretty robust so there was nothing to worry about.

LI have a contract to share the Stadium, the ground staff are used to dealing with pitch problems, hence why RFC and LI have invested a lot of money on said pitch in the last couple of seasons. Do you really believe that they will allow the pitch to deteriorate to a extreme degree, and if so do you really think it will affect RFC that much?

I repeat, you live on what was a flood plain in the past, areas like that are often sodden, the pitch at the MAdstad is raised, and is not a flood plain, and in the last few seasons has had money spent on it, simple really, no need for concern.
