And I very much doubt that even Wayne Rooney would chase the referee in the manner that Michael Ballack did, and I can't see Cristiano Ronaldo shoving his face in a camera shouting "eez a fcukin deesgrace!!" They would have been angry, very angry, but I can't see Fergie standing for that kind of behaviour from any of his players.

Massive outcry after that, United internally dealt with it whilst publicly stating that they would not do it again, and they tidied up their act somewhat. You can guarantee that there will be no difference in attitude from Chelsea FC though.

And you think that Fergie, Rooney, Ferdinand, Roaldo (to name just a few) would not have gone ballistic if they had lost 1-0 and had four cast iron penalties turned down?

Still, I suppose moaning and swearing about the ref isn't as bad as trying to break someones leg, then throwing a tantrum about getting sent off ala Bikey.

Why Bikey? I thought you were going to mention Roy Keane's attack on Alf whatisname....and actually broke his leg.

Comparing Andre Bikey's behaviour to Didier Drogba and Michael Ballack's behaviour is to compare different issues altogether. Bikey's is a matter of self control with regard to opposition players, to which he has been punished with a 5 match ban. Drogba and Ballack's is a matter of simple respect for authority, a personal quality of which they have absolutely none.

I also note the fact that Steve Coppell, dignified as ever, didn't try to defend Bikey's actions, whereas Hiddink did attempt to justify why Drogba and Ballack did what they did.
