Not saying he didn't do well and he did score a lot of goals but was on the bench a fair bit - he would have been better (from an English point of view) staying in the Premiership with one of the top 4 clubs.....

In theory yes but not at Real Madrid where he was never going to be a first choice. Totally stalled his career just at the time he should have been coming to to his peak, the injuries since then have just made the situation worse.

Exactly....people who go to Real dont really seem to improve as a player - not saying they go shit, but they just dont improve. Maybe cos they chop and change their coaching staff so often!

I don't know. I bet loads of players have something similar - a DVD brochure seems a better way of doing it - all of the information and videos of them playing. But they'd be players who want to step up to the big leagues.

I just find it bizarre that someone so well known has to do that.

The doctor listing the players he has treated seems to damn him quite badly: Kieron Dyer, Dean Aston, Craig Bellamy, etc. All injury-prone and expensive occupiers of the treatment table.

Strikers can lose it very quickly and drop from international or premiership quality to nothing when they hit get near to 30. We have seem Kluivert, Shevchenko and Fowler turn to shit almost overnight in the premiership. Owen looks like another one of them.
