Would be a cracking way to start proceedings but as The FA have no balls it will just go ahead without an anthem. A sad indictment on today's world.

Of all the continuant nations, I'd have thought the Welsh were the least enthusiastic about independence from the UK. Shame they couldn't just play the National Anthem of our country (GSTQ being UK anthem too) and be done with it. If a couple of morons boo it then so be it.

Whether there should be anthems at football at all is a separate issue.

Frankly if the Football League don't bother then eveyrone spontaneously singing it at 2-55pm would be incredible. Surely as the Royals we should do that?

When you say ended what you really mean is it was paused for a year due to another poor excuse.

Was it sung last year? The year before? Will it be sung tomorrow and Sunday at the other playoffs?

I think the answer to the above will all be yes' won't they?

Personally I think it's wrong that they stop it just for the sake of upsetting the Welsh who are happy to part of the competition within England.

Well, I doubt many of them could even read Welsh before they went to school - so it's still a bloody waste.
