The Lane thing isn't really rational, just a hunch. However, what does give me hope for him is that he has done it at this level before whereas Kyerewaa hasn't.traff wrote: ↑28 Jun 2026 08:54He's certainly been inconsistent with his final ball, but his pace is still a real asset because it can cause chaos for defenders. As you pointed out, he's still only 24.Orion1871 wrote: ↑26 Jun 2026 16:16If he was a few years younger I would agree, but he's 25 in a few months, and whilst that's not too old if he hasn't got a more consistent final ball by now then his technique is his technique and I can't see him improving it significantly.WestYorksRoyal wrote: ↑26 Jun 2026 13:54
He looked like it was coming together over the festive period when the team was doing well, but didn't recapture it after his injury.
I'm optimistic he can be coached well to be consistent.
Hope he proves me wrong though obviously.
However, I don't remember Lane showing much in terms of form or any particularly positive attributes, and he's already 25. So what gives you the feeling that he can still improve, while DK can't?
Like i say i just don't think Kyerewaa has that final ball and I'd be pleasantly surprised if he ever does now.
