According to him, the Derby game, possibly the toughest home game of the season so far, and against one of, if not the biggest club in the division, will be a lower than usual attendance. He's talking through the peep hole in his @rse.

I was chatting to some DC fans in The Swan before the game and they said their season tickets were £240.00, with kids regularly get in to Pride Park for a quid.

Their away following perhaps suggest they are not quite as big a club as we're led to believe.

Answer - almost identical to yesterday

What was the crowd against QPR ?

Answer - about 1500 bigger than yesterday, which was about the difference in the away support.

So yesterday's crowd was pretty much what we might have expected.

Issues of sensible long term planning are irrelevant, although interesting to hear that you are using the figures from one game despite the fact that elsewhere you dismiss those who disagree becasue you think they are using evidence from one game !!!!!

As has already been spoken about on this board the seats at the bottom of the North are poor, that is all they were selling pre game, thanks to a policy of no longer selling Y26, and keeping the South stand closed for home fans, did this make any difference, I dont really know, but perhaps the club were taking calls for seats, or on the website and people were refusing what was on offer, hopefully the systems will show if this is the case, but i am not so sure.

Had it been 18.6k with the south open I would agree that it was disappointing.

I think they maty or may not. Neither are Man Utd, neither have any big name players and neither have any great history with our club. I doubt many people picked either game as a 'must see' for this season.

An educated guess based on the attendance figure and the approximate numbers of away fans judged by the naked eye.

If it isn't, it would be very close.

I would hazard a guess that the distance away fans have had to travel is the main difference in the attendance figures at the Madstad. Crystal Palace, Swansea and QPR are the games with 20,000+ attendances.

The attendance yesterday was in line with all the other games that away fans had to travel any great distance.

I heard yesterday that the club are trying to clear Y26 and tape it off? Anyone hear similar?

I had heard it was for STH's, but the couple I heard discussing it on Saturday claim the club want netting in place to distance us from the away fans. Because we're a real handful, of course.
