Derby - first full house of the season?

Bought my ticket yesterday along with Southampton ticket and the tickets are selling very well. Should be a near full away end of 4000. Must be a 23,000 minimum. Toughest home game of the season so far I'd say.

I'm considering it...using trains after work in the morning I could get there for 1439. Any chance a taxi could get me to the match for kick off? I know it is only 21mins, and I know the Mad Stad is a fair way out of the town centre, but I would love to go. Not been to a home match since we drew 1-1 with Crewe a few years back now.

Plenty get taxis from the station, and black cabs are being crafty now too and waiting near the ground when they can, to take you back home, to town...
Dunno if they'll sting you though. Probably £5-7.

In theory it's a 5 minute run from the station to the ground, but the unknown factor is the traffic. I'd say you have a decent chance of making it without missing too much of the game and the traffic grinds to a halt you can always get out and jog the rest of the way.

Now the speedway is shut we shall see how much of an impact the traffic and bus services have on supporters arriving late for KO. Certainly when feasible the bus routes are the logical way to travel to a match. Me - travelling in i shall have to see if my ex-brother-in-law will be kind enough to lend me his front drive.

Easy, fear not. I thought the same getting a late bus to football one afternoon and it was there in 6 minutes.

Having not been to a home match for many a long year, where is the best place to sit for a good atmosphere? Somewhere where everyone sings, coz that's what I like doing best - singing my heart out for the boys. Obviously, at away games we are all in together so it is easier.

Y25 from about row g up to the back. You will be in easy shouting distance of away fans.

I'd have thought getting a few goals against Brighton is of very little significance in terms of what happens on Saturday.

Certainly much less than the fact that they've played two games this week and seemed to have a strong team out last night. Coming into a game against a team with plenty of pace who play at a high tempo the last thing you need is heavy legs....

I see the original claim that it will be a sell out is looking a little shaky given the current sales figures.
