But, I must just counter your point about 'victim perception'. If a rapist attacks someone with some mental impairment, or perhaps a child, who does not know or understand that a crime has been committed against them, it is still a crime. The child may be completely and utterly aware that anything 'bad' at all has happened (even though it is fully aware of the exact circumstances of what happened). Dare I say it, the mentally impaired person may even have enjoyed it, and so welcomed the experience - it STILL doesn't stop it being a crime. There is no onus on the victim in crime to feel a loss, or feel like a victim. A crime is defined by the actions of the perpetrator, not the response of the victim.

I believe race related crimes are defined by the perception of the victim aren;t they ? If someone says a crime was racially motivated then it is considered so, if they say it wasn't then it isn't.

I'm still intregued that you think you can be so definitive about something you don;t know anything about. I guess that's the perils of being so focused on the extremes rather than the generality. If you thought your rape example through at a more general level rather than making it as implausible as possible you might have got somewhere. I don;t think you'd believe that the matter of consent between two adults is not a matter of the perception of the victim.

Arsenal midfielder Denilson has told Barcelona: "Stop tapping up our captain".

The Brazillian has spoken out after Barca superstar Lionel Messi had it the entire team that have at one stage or another called for Fabregas to quit Arsenal for the Nou Camp.

Last week Barca captain Carlos Puyol even claimed Fabregas would be staying against his will if he is kept at the Emirates beyond this month's transfer deadline.

But Denilson hit back: "I don't believe what Puyol says. I believe in Cesc, because Arsenal has helped Cesc Fabregas a lot in his career, and I think that he wants to stay.

"The problem is that because everyone [there] keeps saying, 'Oh, Cesc wants to go, Cesc wants to go', then everyone here also starts to think, 'Oh, Cesc wants to go'.

"I believe in Cesc Fabregas and this season he will be here to help us."

Fabregas has five years remaining on his current contract and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger - who has vowed to keep the Spaniard - has called on him to confirm he is staying in London.

Having won the World Cup with his country, Fabregas is not due back for pre-season training until later this week.

Denilson went on: "We need him. He is our captain and he will help us a great amount this season.

"I haven't had a chance to catch up with him as he has been on his holidays, but we are expecting him this week and I will see him again in training."
