The club have launched pages on Twitter and Facebook & an iPhone app - yet can't afford to sign any decent players
Seriously, why do we bother with our Season Tickets?
It's cheaper and more convenient than buying them individually?Big Foot wrote:Seriously, why do we bother with our Season Tickets?
But they spend it willy nilly on social media ? PffftSilver Fox wrote:It's cheaper and more convenient than buying them individually?Big Foot wrote:Seriously, why do we bother with our Season Tickets?
So it's fully automated then, is it? Or do they have volunteers administering it all?Sarah Star wrote:It doesn't actually cost them anything to set up any of those though.
Blimey, they only have to copy and paste from the other info they put out. Hardly going to take hours plus they get to advertise to a wider audience instantly. Makes good business sense, I'd have thought.Big Foot wrote:So it's fully automated then, is it? This is a joke isn't it?
So we've money for an external social media agency but not for players? I hope they play in a corporate 6 a side league or similar as we may need to bundle in some game time from them at the rate Mad£j$ki is cutting the clothScrappy wrote:All Reading FC's communication media, by this I mean the website, is managed by an external company which they pay anyway to manage the website. This is the case with many other Football League clubs. This means that it probably does not cost the club much to develop such an application as it's built by the external company, and then the club just apply their front end to it. I wouldn't say it's worth moaning about the cost of our season ticket about.
It's the same company who deal with Reading World. The external company manages the interface, all Reading do is provide the content.

If it was 10mb then the vast majority would still be images so not quite sure how you've worked that one out.Scrappy wrote:Only 2.7mb and most of that data will be the images (this does have influnce as it demonstrates very little coding has been involved).
