Northerners are historically tight fisted, so a football ticket, travel and food money would seem a bit much for 4000 unemployed Yorkshireman. They simply love their football more that toffy nosed Southerners do.

I would hazard a guess that they bought a members card... You don't have to live in Reading to get a members card.

There's lots of leeds fans down south and this is one of the only games they can get to. I know two Leeds fans who have got north stand tickets FWIW

What nonsense. They sell out almost every away game all over the country. They have a richer and more sucessfull history than many of the clubs outside the top flight and they're more passionate about their football than we are.

I remember 400 or so hardy souls coming down to Elm Park to get thumped in the late 80's.

Well, OK , thumped is a bit harsh but they were shit and we beat them 2-1.
