I personally think RFC missed Steve Sidwell a hell of a lot more than we'll ever miss Gylfi Sigurdsson.Harpers So Solid Crew wrote:Don't miss him as much as Siggy, but supposed to be off to WHU, Wolves also wanted him.
Freidel could soon exit Villa, new younger man needed
I'd have thought if he was going anywhere it'd be FulhamSvlad Cjelli wrote:A Whest Ham supporter yesterday said that they were going for Steven Ireland instead of/as well as Sidders.
I would have thought that Stephen Ireland would go North, rather than South, as one of the issues Houlier has with him is that he still lives in the Manchester area and commutes down to Brum.Big Foot wrote:I'd have thought if he was going anywhere it'd be FulhamSvlad Cjelli wrote:A Whest Ham supporter yesterday said that they were going for Steven Ireland instead of/as well as Sidders.
Didn't know that - my Fulham suspicion is due to Sparky being down thereMr Angry wrote:I would have thought that Stephen Ireland would go North, rather than South, as one of the issues Houlier has with him is that he still lives in the Manchester area and commutes down to Brum.Big Foot wrote:I'd have thought if he was going anywhere it'd be FulhamSvlad Cjelli wrote:A Whest Ham supporter yesterday said that they were going for Steven Ireland instead of/as well as Sidders.

Did I ever say it has any credibility? I don't consider him to be ITK - just reporting what he said. The whole year inn wrote:you have to stop this. VILLA'S Steve Sidwell seems about to sign a full contract with Fulham... and I wish him a lot of luck.
I had to tell Steve that for various reasons - none his fault - we had changed our mind about signing him on loan.
This was a filthy task but in the end it was decided that, with 13 midfielders and most of the injured about to return, we couldn't promise him regular first-team football and he'd hardly be in a better position than at Villa Park.
