So how long until a team is denied promotion to the PL because they don't meet whatever criteria the PL set to keep the riff-raff teams out of their executive club? It's the slippery slope to a closed top tiers once you start allowing such regulations to dictate who can and who can't be promoted.

Not really.....every club probably has their pitch relayed each season anyway and with all the money they get for being promoted they should use some of it to install some kind of undersoil heating.

Agree with all of this. They only had three sides of the ground available when they went up in the summer. The development of the ground had to come first for revenue purposes. It just goes to prove what a major achievement it was to get promoted to the Prem in the first place. If they still didn't have undersoil heating after 18 months of Prem football, then that would be wrong.

That's the case at pretty much every other level in the pyramid though so why not the top level (there are of course ground regulations and exceptions and dispensation granted if required).

Not sure I'd say under soil heating is something I'd bother having on that list though.

Why would Blackpool have undersoil heating?

This time 15 months ago, they were odds-on for relegation to League One (where just the one game was played today).

Come back in two or three seasons time and slag down their lack of it, maybe.

Until then, why should any promoted team pander to the Premiership/Sky luvvies

Yes.

But their game with Stoke wasn't called off due to a frozen pitch like Blackpools previous 3. Also the other games in the premier called off this season have been for either safety reasons (for fans) or due to the snow.
