Do WHU persuade the council to lend them £40 million????

Is money not in short supply- are business' everywhere not struggling to get finance- yet the council- backed by the treasury no less, will lend £40m to a business notorious for tax avoidance financial mis-management and general piss taking?
So when your kids no longer get EMA, you lose your child benefit or pay £50 for half a tank of petrol, then you can at least be grateful that WHU can get a new football stadium?

The stadium btw is the one we promised would be a legacy for athletics....

I am not pleased with this.

Lol. Corrupt mayor and council officials feathering their own pockets whilst hiding behind commercial confidentiality. The expenses scandal obviously hasn't rung any alarm bells in Newham.

Newham Council are a bunch of mongs who should all be shot. Not a recent phenomenon as they did everything they could to prevent Jean Michel Jarre doing Destination Docklands.

IMHO, this country needs decent athletics facilities to be able to compete for World and Euro championships. The track must stay and also be available for grass roots use.

Surely if the local population want to help WHU move to this site then it is feck all to do with folk that pay tax elsewhere, or is local accountability not important here , thats a q for you EIL
