Should women be allowed to go to away games?

We all know away games are where it's at, all the hardcore bunched together in a small corner of the ground. Are women physically able to deal with what situ8ions this may lead to.

Take last night for example. For some reason Blackpool felt it necessary to cut United's allocation to 1,600. Not sure what they based that on but the majority were in Blackpool before lunchtime getting on it. Two 'United supporting' bints were complaining from the first minute of foul language, standing etc and after the carnage of the equaliser they were heard to say they hoped United didn't score a third. Well loves, if you can't hack an away don't go. And to think there were shit loads of United who couldn't get in.

I've been saying this for a while. When its a big game, and there is a high demand for tickets, men should be given priority. I've been to games away from home before when I've seen women people watching for the majority of the game, most probably looking at other womens clothing, like shoes etc.

Most bars are closed at half time when United are around as some scamps have a habbit of turning it over.

if you want a proper answer - if you go to away games you should expect a different atmosphere to home ones - be that more bad language, more abuse from the opposite supporters or the bloke behind jumping on you if we score.
I dont get to that many away games, but never had a problem. I've had much more intimidating experiences going to protests, front of fesitval crowds etc

To be honest at away games now, I have half an eye on looking after my dad! Not really an issue at a lot of games, where the main risk is getting hot tea spilt on him! If it was consistent standing at Reading games, I'd be happy to go, but not sure about my dad.

Some away games I would possibly consider not going to. Would be a bit thick to go to an intimidating ground and complain.

Due to being in the frozen north most games I attend are away games.
To be honest Reading can't afford to be that fussy as we don't usually sell out away matches in the championship.

Just remembered :

Sheff Utd away - 80's - we were crap and they were good - they'd just had the new stand opened and the away supporters were in it - all 20 of us.

Stuart Beavon converts a penalty to put us one up and all the males sit in stoney silence as the rest of the 20,000+ crowd focus their eyes on us. The two women with us, however, are giving it charly, drawing yet more attention to the few of us.

For not understanding when the hell to shut up, that's enough to have them banned from away games, or at the very least have them sit with the home fans
