Jazz Cafe

What on earth inspired the decor inside the Jazz Cafe? It reminds me of rejected set props from Crystal Maze mixed with bad day at Ikea.

Some highlights:

-Silver mannequins
-'Banky' style stenciled Jazz musicians
-Stringy lamp shades
-Hastily chosen 'Jazz' themed posters, like the poster from Fosse musical 'All That Jazz'
-6th form art project murals
-Wonky projection screen showing Sky Sports News

I found myself wandering up there at half time and was impressed by just how crap they've made it. I couldn't conceive a worse attempt at a 'Jazz' cafe. Anyway it's a goddamn football stadium!

In fairness, it is a JAZZ CAFE. They do have live music, and do deals with the hotel so that patrons can get cheap(er) rooms. I've always had a soft spot for the place, and got to know the bar staff really well. Agreed on showing live football though, but was suprised they even had ESPN yesterday.

My only gripe is those how drink at the bar after being served. Move away to let others get served!!!!.
