24 Feb 2011 13:08Sometimes, just sometimes, I wonder what would have happened HAD Robert Maxwell bought the club. Don't the mongtards in SJM Towers have any frigging clue what they are doing?North Somerset Royal wrote:Received a letter this morning asking me to renew my permit for next season! Whilst the deadline for renewal is stated to be the 3rd June the letter goes on to say that this season they will not renew any permits before the holders have renewed their season tickets. Effectively therefore the 28th April is the real deadline. Cash flow must be worse than the traffic flow around the stadium!

24 Feb 2011 13:35Yes but normally I just make a single payment for both and the real point is that the deadline is a month earlier than last year and it is the first time that renewal of the permit has been conditional on renewal of an ST. I wonder whether they think that this will persuade some people to renew their ST who otherwise may not. You only have to attend 17 games to save money on the matchday parking fee.PieEater wrote:Can't you renew your ST in April and your parking permit in June?
I've never been able/asked to pay for both at the same time. Car park is always later than STNorth Somerset Royal wrote:Yes but normally I just make a single payment for both and the real point is that the deadline is a month earlier than last year and it is the first time that renewal of the permit has been conditional on renewal of an ST. 24 Feb 2011 13:40I am not complaining just wondering why they have advanced the deadline over previous years and linked the permits to ST for the first time.V12 wrote:North Somerset Royal wrote: renewal is stated to be the 3rd June the letter goes on to say that this season they will not renew any permits before the holders have renewed their season tickets. erm.... no
You still have until June 3rd to pay and it seems fair enough they won't let you renew until you've renewed your ST. The date for ST renewal is being discussed in another thread.
Really not sure what your complaint is here

24 Feb 2011 21:11Then whats the point of the club making the permits conditional on having a ST? They have not done so in the past. Maybe the price is going to be increased for non ST holders once the ST renewal period has passed. Currently at £130 you only have to attend 17 games to save on the matchday price of £8.Terminal Boardom wrote:Seriously, how many non ST holders would want to buy a car park ST?

Isn't most of the car park permit holders only? That means you take a much bigger risk of not being able to park if you don't have one than not being able to get in for any given match.Terminal Boardom wrote:Seriously, how many non ST holders would want to buy a car park ST?
Unless I'm suffering from a complete lack of understanding, it means the EARLIEST you can renew your parking ticket is once you have renewed your ST. The deadline for parking renewal remains 3rd June.North Somerset Royal wrote:Received a letter this morning asking me to renew my permit for next season! 25 Feb 2011 11:17Yep, that's the economics - share it between two people and it's £65 for a season's parking (including cup matches).Hoop Blah wrote:Isn't most of the car park permit holders only? £130 between 2 or 3 who share travel (which I think is probably the norm) means it's much cheaper and less hassle to get one and only use it for even half the games, than worry about parking on a match by match basis. Remember that £130 is per car not per person.

25 Feb 2011 11:33Yes but the point is that the deadline is a month earlier than in previous years and for the first time permits are being linked to STs. As HB & SC say in the past permits have been shared between several often non ST fans. That Friday Feeling wrote:Unless I'm suffering from a complete lack of understanding, it means the EARLIEST you can renew your parking ticket is once you have renewed your ST. I think you're in a flap over nothing tbh.
