Derby Conundrum

So we've given them an 'initial' allocation of 2,000. As it is the last game of the season and they are the biggest team in the Country/ East Midlands/ Derbyshire/ Derby * (delete as appropriate) no doubt they will ask for more.
A Man City style review of the stats would show that we can't even sell out the other 3 stands - loads currently left for Sheff Utd and Derby - so they should be given the whole of the South Stand
So would you allocate them more and take the cash, or wait and take the risk of not spoiling the clean blue lines of empty seats?

I'd suggest they'd be pretty confident of selling the "spare" half of the stand to home supporters - or certainly to more home supporters than away ones. Can't see Derby wanting to take all of it - and if it had been offered to them it would probably not have been on a sale or return basis so they'd not have taken the risk of being able to sell it.

Wouldv'e thought it'll go to home fans but i suspect they won't make the decision until after this weekend's games where everyone will have more of an idea who might slip up / win the rest / etc. Need as many RFC fans there as possible to give Savage a bit of stick on his last ever pro game of football!

Although Savage can be a complete Oxf$rd, I actually quite like him. For sure he's a real character and he has been a good servant to the game. He's up his own arse I know and always has been.

I'm more than happy to give him stick for 90 minutes but will also be more than willing to clap him off the pitch at the end of it. I hope Clough has the foresight to take him off with a few minutes to go so that the above is possible.

I'd never have wanted Savage near any reading team but after last year's antics when he went in goal he earnt a grudging respect TBF

I, too, can't believe that, that many Derby fans will be @rsed to travel so far for a game that will almost certainly be meaningless for them.

But, on the other hand, if they manage to sell their initial allocation before our our fair-weather twats buy up the rest of the home areas.............bollox to them, they would have had ample to time stick their hand in their pocket and will thoroughly deserve any disappointment that ensues.

I've got a lot of time for Savage, he's one of the more intelligent, honest and knowlegable players who get their face on TV for a bit of punditry.

Bit of a git on the pitch, but I'd certainly give him a clap on his last game.

I've already got a ticket so am not fussed about allocations.

I live 15 minutes from Derby and get home to Reading regularly in under 2 hours. Wouldn't have thought leaving at 9-9.30 constituted the crack of dawn for a load of people...
