Is it entirely sensible to sell a block of 6-7 seats in the family section of Upper West to an obvious group of 20-30 something drunken yobs who are unable to hold their drink? There were many children from about 4 - 15 listening to knuckle dragging scum shouting inane drivel incessantly and having to use the f* word as every alternative word mixed amongst W*nkers , b*stards etc. Even a very old granny taking a four year old to the toilet was met with f** sit down, f* off etc.
When told by some brave gents to tone it down was met with - it's a f* football match not f* strictly come f* dancing. I'll f* swear when I f* want. As we were not swearing we were met with - you aren't f* supporters. Well if examples of shouting that Kebe was a fat f** lazy b* - move your f* lazy@rse is support , maybe I don't support the team. Even my 14 year old daughter was offended at the racist comments thrown at Jason Roberts and Kebe. I won't post those comments here . Be proud and be loud - well they were a disgrace to Reading. We were really looking forward to that evening match and it was ruined by scum old enough to know better. They were obviously trashed but still managed to get into the bar at half time to tank up some more and turned up late for the second half refuelled.Why even serve the tw@ts? Give some thought to who is purchasing the tickets and for which section of the ground...PLEASE.

Chap in front asked them to cut out the swearing and was met with a load of abuse followed by piss-taking most of the second half. It beggars belief that jarred up or not some people can be so disrespectful and insensitive.

Should also inform the powers that be that they were continued to be sold alcohol. Compass do a terrible job at keeping their staff informed of basic laws apparently.

GU10 correct!! You don't see many stewards around there as you don't expect shaved baboons in the family area.

TBF it's not exactly easy for the club to know what they're going to be like when the tickets are sold. If someone reported them to the stewards I'd expect some sort of action though, and it sounds like if the stewards had, had a word they'd have got themselves kicked out.

Yes please report neanderthals like this to stewards, if you can't see one then go and find one at half time and complain.

Presumably it may not be too late now after all the club should know who bought those tickets so perhaps raise it with the club via STAR. Of course it'll be one word v another but at least it may highlight the issue with the club that they need to ensure that if tickets are sold in the family area the purchasers must include U16 tickets (although given the way some kids are brought up even that's no gurantee).

Of course, it isn't actually a designated family area but the only reason I spend the extra on those seats is that the UW has a different, albeit unwritten, code of conduct.

Been up there since the Prem seasons and consider my own kids "old enough" now to deal with a bit of swearing but I did feel for some of the other parents nearby.

I don't think the club could have not sold them the tickets, nor do I think Compass did anything wrong serving them. They weren't paralytic - I can be be twice as battered as they were and still not behave like that. Sadly they seemed to be well aware that they were sitting in 'the library" as they tried to get East Stand style chants going

If we're talking about the same blokes they were in seats (EE?) usually taken by academy players and their families.

Why not contact the club?...if you know the section and the seats they were sat in then the club should have their details on the system...and could contact them and take action...

It's still not too late to call the club and complain. You know the row they were in, so they can identify them. The chances are they've been reported already too.

Agreed that inflicting the west stand in kids is the real issue here.

Here come the trolls.......When you become men- No fixed abode,Moo etc - you might learn that when you have responsibility for children you protect them and creating a scene in public would embarrass them. Why you believe a football stadium is an excuse for the underclass to behave like Lord of the Flies is beyond me. Why don't you try dog fighting or badger baiting - you're more likely find that feral behaviour and not being able to hold your drink will go unnoticed.
