Food and drinks in concourse

Unbelieveably slow service in South Stand today. Missed the start of the second half. The foof anf drink eventually obtained was sub-standard as well. Pizza had a strange taste and coffee was lukewarm after being stored in some sort of bucket device. Wouldn't be a problem if that cost £1.50 but to pay £8.80 for that is daylight robbery. Still, we're only football fans.

This has been the scenario all season in the south stand, with so many people all trying to get refreshments and visit the toilets all within a small time period its a slow process. At the fulham game, no longer than two minutes into the half time break the stewards stopped me & many many others entering the concourse.(block R32 i believe) This was due to the people who were queuing at the bar forming a long queue that went all the way out onto the concourse. This was not helped by the slow service at the bar but the volume of people wanting food/drinks, so come the start of the second half many people are still in the concourse, so is no surprise to hear you missed some of the match.

These days I bring my own flask and snacks and get to see all the game!!

I always leave my seat about 3 minutes before half time to get to the loo in East Stand and today the queues for the food/drink were all back to the wall by that time - it's a nightmare trying to get past people in the queues. Not sure what the solution is really.

Don't buy it Man Friday? How about getting food before the game and bringing a flask of coffee.

Sitting in the North, I have to commend the new smoking system, the concourse seems much clearer now we keep the emergency doors open so people can easily buy food/drink outside too

Agree- if you were sitting at home on a Saturday Afternoon (or any other) would you eat a pie/drink a pint/scoff a chocolate bar at ten to three and then eat a hot dog/cup of coffee/another chocolate bar/haribos ffs at ten to four. No is the simple answer. What's worse is the streams of these people pushing past with ten minutes of the first half to play.

Sat in south stand for the Newcastle game as I took my daughter noticed they sell bottled beer why that stand and not any other?

Expand the stadium.

LOL - except there will be more fans and the same problem in the upper concourses. It's not going to ease the congestion in the other concourses.

Of course it would. The upper concourse would take the fans from the extra seats while the the footprint of the lower concourse would increase.
