At some point in the past, possibly up until this season, they were allowed to watch the game for free after the game had kicked off and they'd done their selling pitch. Considering they'll be on a naff hourly wage, I wouldn't stand there for a two hours before a game either if I didn't get the perk of watching the match after. It's probably the equivalent of more than half their wage for those 2/3 hours.peterroyal76 wrote:I always buy my programme from the same seller each game. You may know him, he was an older guy with glasses who had been doing the job for years and was at the top of the hill behind B&Q.
However he wasn't there this week so I asked the other guy where he was (thinking he may have been ill), only to be told that he had quit because the club had decided to charge them £15 for their match ticket.
Do they really need the £15 that badly?
Were they expected to pay anything before? I'm sure I remember something like this happening before.
