As my dad's struggling with the walk from Hewlett Packard, I've bought a car park pass for the first time for this season, (red car park)

Does anyone have any idea approximately how long after the final whistle you can expect to be on the move?

Normally about 15 - 20mins...once the buses are allowed to leave...although there is then abit of congestion due to the build up of cars...

On occasion it has taken me well over an hour to get out. On a good day 15-25 minutes. Next season I'll be giving walking from Lower Early a go!

I often park by the Dome and the traffic is often still bumper to bumper at 5 30pm after a 3pm KO! The Red car park should be easier tho as the traffic seems to flow much better via the roundabout closest to town rather than the Costco roundabout.

Yep this. Best place for a 'quick' getaway is the far corner close to the staff car park / right hand side of the dome.

We park in the red car park, and if you can get in near the Dome it normally empties relatively quickly (within half an hour), if you get stuck in the body of the red car park you could be looking at about an hour's wait after a game

Pretty much this to be honest. When I used to park in the car park. Would go to the hotel for a post match beer on games where the crowd was a bit bigger. Sorted out just fine.

Home to wolves -> hotel
Home to a lesser team (Barnsley would be my example if they didn't get relegated) -> back to the car

It's not too bad these days. Will probably take you until 30 mins after full time whistle to get out of car park, but as others have mentioned a quick trip to the hotel/jazz bar will eradic8 any frustration.

Have been doing this but he struggles with the uphill walk from the drop off. He doesn't get much exercise and this can cause his blood pressure to fluctu8. New regime will be:

Drop dad/wife by South Stand, park car, watch game, go to Jazz cafe for a beer, get car, pick up dad/wife from outside South Stand. Hopefully won't be too much later home than normal.

but u can drive up the hill and drop off for every game an hour before kick off.


i reckon this will still be quicker and less stressful than getting out the car park

Bit harsh leaving them out in the elements while you go and watch the game, can't you at least let them stay in the car or better still leave them at home?

As my late dad got older he too found that it was harder to walk up the hill to the ground, the obvious answer is for the buses to drop people at the actual ground, not at the bottom of the hill. it surely would not adversly affect anyone, and would only need a small amount or decent organisation. Anyone fancy bringing this up with STAR?
