He made a post on his private facebook page (he has 34 friends), which the Oystons have bullied him into paying them £20,000 for as compensation by threatening to take him to court. Quite simply unbelievable. Although do we know what this guy actually posted on FB? Could be proper outrageous allegations.

Although if I was running my own business and found someone on a website dedicated to that industry, where I knew many of my customers went to read about how my business was getting on, and this person was slagging me personally and my business off, beyond just offering a negative review, and I felt it may impact on my future business, I would be f*cking livid.

I would imagine what has been said on the guy's Facebook page is pretty much what is actually known about them, but without any substantiation to back it up. Allegations + no substantial evidence = case for libel. There are things that have gone on at that club that are utterly insane that are well known, but with no evidence to back it up. Let's just say it's all a bit financially "incestuous".

Owen Oyston did spend a few years in prison for rape. If I recall correctly that was when he turned the chairmanship of the club over to his son.
