I appreciate your undoubted support for the club but your rose tinted view is crazy - displayed in the contradiction above that you think we're going down, yet will take points off the eventual Champions away from home. Crackers.Top Flight wrote:I don't think 106 will be threatened this season. I think there are enough teams who will take points off Newcastle to keep our record continuing. Also, whilst Newcastle have a lot of talent in their ranks, are they yet a good team? I don't think they will get off to a flying start. I think they'll win their opener at Fulham, stutter a bit, especially when the Royals come to St James and then build a good season from there. They'll get close to 90 points but they won't be in the 100s.
I think Newcastle and Norwich will take the automatic slots.
Derby, Sheff Wed, Preston and Cardiff for the play-offs.
Going down will be Rotherham, Burton and one of Reading, Fulham or Blackburn.
I wasn't being completely serious. Football always throws up surprises. We can still shock the Geordies and struggle in the same season. We beat them at St James in the Premier League and got relegated in the same season so why does that have to be such a contradiction?John Smith wrote:I appreciate your undoubted support for the club but your rose tinted view is crazy - displayed in the contradiction above that you think we're going down, yet will take points off the eventual Champions away from home. Are you 15 years old with posters of all the players on your bedroom wall?
Ok, yes you're right here, good point. There still will be at least 3 worse teams than us next season.Top Flight wrote:I wasn't being completely serious. Football always throws up surprises.
