Idiots in Holiday Inn Car Park

To the recreants that attacked the young Derby lads in the Holiday Inn car park after the game last night:

You’re such big men attacking 18 year old boys with a cosh and biting the one hiding in his car.

Seeing the damage you did I don’t think if you’d followed through with your threat to stab them you’d have broken skin.

Having spent time with them, waiting for an ambulance, they were really nice lads. One is off to Chicago next week for a scholarship having just been released by Burton.

If you’re on here you’ve cost me a pair of shorts and a morning of cleaning blood off my car. Let me know and we can arrange for you to give me the money...

That is an absolute disgrace and those involved should be ashamed of themselves. I despise violence like this, especially when it's over something as ridiculous as a football match and which team someone chooses to follow/support.

Yes it is the new club policy to use violence in and around the Holiday Inn.

I think the hotel's security guard still patrols the car park (normally stops for a chat) but you could hardly expect him to intervene, even if he saw what was going on. All he could realistically do is call the police and it looks like their response/level of care is appalling.
