Loudest ever away fans at Mad Stad?

Villa at home 1-2 seasons back sticks in my mind, when they won for the first time in the league in an evening game.

Also Liverpool at home in the PL were always very loud

Man United in the cup when we went 3-0 down within about 6 minutes, but then came back to 3-2. They were noisy for periods of the game. In the league too.

Any thoughts?

There is really no competition - it's got to be Millwall. A horrible, aggressive, intimidating wall of noise and hatred. The noise generated by all other fans sounds like a polite invitation to a tea party in comparison.

Thought Liverpool were quite poor in the PL.

As much as I dislike them, I thought Arsenal were quite loud when they came to us. Probably helps that they always hammered us.

Remember Newcastle 09/10 being particularly loud. In comparison was disappointing with their showing a couple of seasons ago, but then again their performance probably didn't inspire.

Oddly, Chesterfield always comes to mind. I can't remember which game it was, either 1999 or 2001, or maybe both, but they were one of the loudest I've come across, particularly for a small club.

I always remember the Villa fans chanting “Villa Villa”just before the start of the second half our FA Cup quarter final. We were two up at half time and looking good yet it was their fans making all the noise. It made me feel a bit uneasy and inside ten minutes of a disastrous start to the second half we had conceded three.

Liverpool just after Thatcher had died. They had a full on party with flares. I was a bit jealous!
