I remember the offside rule being easily understandable until it was “fixed”, how many other bits and pieces that don’t need fixing will they sort out?

Like number 1, less likely to get stupid offside calls by VAR.

2 - fine. Would even be tempted to change the rule that a ball is only out of play when it hits the ground or a player outside of the markings I.e. a ball from a full back can bend out of play but is fine if it is next touched in play.

Logical extension of rule 2 is utilising similar rule to rugby/cricket, ie ball can be kept in but only if both feet in touch / off the ground

Be great seeing players flying backwards off their feet trying to head it back in

Like number 1, less likely to get stupid offside calls by VAR.

3 will only work if you don't have to wait for the whistle. 4 just seems ridiculous.

4 is a Wenger thing isn't it. Though didn't think he was saying it should only be five minutes from the end. His argument is that you rarely get much of an advantage from throw in your own half. Given the amount of added on time you can get most games will mean that five minutes is at least eight or nine.
