There is a global paper shortage and the cost is increasing, so they might have decided to bin them off. I would be surprised though.Wallington Royal wrote:I hear the club are not producing programmes this season. Is this a cost cutting excise as I am surprised in their 150 year.....
Which you might find in a special year, like a 150th anniversary year, for example?Sutekh wrote:Don’t really add much these days, all are the same sort of uniform size containing adverts and all the same info most fans already know at the same price. Would agree, there should be a “special” one off publication oroduced by the club during the course of the season to celebrate 150 years but not a programme, after all which game should be the game to produce it for?Hendo wrote:Which you might find in a special year, like a 150th anniversary year, for example?Sutekh wrote:Don’t really add much these days, all are the same sort of uniform size containing adverts and all the same info most fans already know at the same price. But you could have a different design every week, which is made to look and feel like a programme from the days of yore. Would suggest that the last game of 2021 would be the main one though, which celebrates 150 years, seeing as the legend most people go along with is that the football club started during the winter of 1871.Sutekh wrote:Would agree, there should be a “special” one off publication oroduced by the club during the course of the season to celebrate 150 years but not a programme, after all which game should be the game to produce it for?Hendo wrote:Which you might find in a special year, like a 150th anniversary year, for example?Sutekh wrote:Don’t really add much these days, all are the same sort of uniform size containing adverts and all the same info most fans already know at the same price. I believe the information comes from supporters to attended last night and asked about programmes.Hendo wrote:Wanna link it? I guess the thing with that was there was a very limited number of attendees and it might've made things not cost effective and slightly difficult getting programme sellers out to the games, who seem to be mostly older.Zip wrote:There were no programmes for the three games where we had fans back last season.
