Abrefa is made of glass unfortunately, or gives off that feel at least. I'm not convinced we'll see Rushesha next year and if Craig signs, he may be shifted to the middle of the park again. Yiadom may get 12 more months with a eye on moving him towards coaching. We have no idea how Ryan will come back - we may even send him on loan for the first half of the season.

In short, there are so many variables at both full back positions, signing 2 for each may make sense.

I'm quite impressed with Blackpool, they beat us pretty comprehensively twice this season whilst barely breaking out of second gear. I'm rating them to do well next year. I'm not against signing players from them.

Obviously none of them are ideal, but if you've got 2/3/4 cover options, I don’t think you need two specialists.

Now I'd fully expect a couple of them at least to go. Which may change the calculation a bit.

But equally, we can't bloat our squad too much or block progression.

We absolutely do not need 2 specialists for each position if we have enough of Craig, Yiadom, Abrefa, Dorsett and Ryan on the books. I would expect we have at least 3 of those. We need a lean, adaptable squad, not a bloated one again. One specialist on each side and we're well stocked.

We're not Liverpool competing on multiple fronts. And I'd expect none of our competitors will have the perfect injury proof squad.
