Interesting how the ASTS were the standers, too.

I think the club really should take a good look at the tickets and reward those who've shown thier committment by giving them the best seats. It wouldn't take too much to find out where the best ones are...
I was right in the corner for Pompey as well.

Presumably, in order to make it easy for the poor souls, they start with seat 1 and work upwards!

Imagine them having to start in the middle of a number sequence and working both ways from there - they'd run out of fingers and toes!

i have to agree, i was sat down there too, and it was a very poor view especially for even ickler people like me, ended up sitting a few rows from back behind the goal for 2nd half view was very good.

It's easier for the ticket office to issue tickets in a mindless way from one corner to the next. You should count on the ticket office doing what's easiest for them not what's best to reward the loyalty of the fans.

Away season ticket holders have commited themseleves, but is doesn't make them the loyalist fans. I know a few people who wouldn't have had a hope in hell of getting tickets for the big games, and so they got AST.

So why should AST holders get better seats for every game when really, it should be the people who have the most points and get their tickets as soon as they go on sale

My Sister's got lost in the post and RFC faxed Fulham to print out a new one, so we had to queue to get a new one.

I've committed myself to every game, so I think I should get the best seats, because I have shown my Loyalty, and put my money where my mouth is.

My mate lost his ticket so we qued up and they said they didnt recieve anything from Reading and had to buy another one

I'm not an AST holder and I actually said to my wife the other day, the AST holders get the best seats and then the rest of us get what's left.

I'm actually really suprised to find out that's not how it works. Pretty poor show on RFC's part I'd say.

As has been said lots of times before, the home club tells RFC which order to sell the tickets in, but that's only on a block by block basis. (i.e. sell block P7 front 10 rows, then P7 next 10 rows etc.

I was stuck down in the corner too yesterday, in Row A, but if I'd been about 20 or 30 seats to the right (but still in the same row!) that would have been a superb seat - so it's down to luck of the draw and as fine a line as that many seats.

There are over 750 ASTs, that's over a third of the allocation we had - so how are the club expected to make sure everyone has a decent seat?

Every away game the same AST fans are near me which indicates that tickets are issued in sequence. So far my seats have been average so I wont complain but I do wonder if the same AST fans are always given the first seats from the allocation and always get a sh*t view.

But sometimes the first seats sold have the best view - it all depends upon the policy of the home club. Our TO have no say in it!

The TO tried to convince me that row A was actually 12 rows back, right

. I ended up with row K, a ticket bought the following day was in OO in the same block, so I'd say the way they sell them are pretty random.

You would of thought they'd have given the ASTs a central block behind the goal. Was there any separation to the neutral section?

They couldn't give AST's the blocks behind the goal as that was originally neutral and only later allocated to Reading. And there was no segregation between away and neutral.
