Burnley problems

Well for the 2nd time in 4 days I've had to contact the Sales Centre as there have been problems with my transaction.

Thought perhaps I could do it online, seeing as its a home game.. but no.. Dangerous' seat turns up to be in my shopping basket!

So I rang the rip off number..... wait for it....

1

and within less than one minute I got through!!! and this was 10mins ago - in the lunch hour!

Sorted my ticket now though.

Motto - If you changed your card since signing up to an away season ticket, remind the staff in the Sales Centre to change the card number for the cup games too! One day they will get it right!

wouldn't it be wonderful to one day have an online ticket system where you could buy tickets for home and away games without any hassle?

currently i'm trying to buy tickets for linked season ticket holders and all i can seem to get is south stand.

talk about forcing people into ringing 0870 numbers....

Season ticket holders can buy their own tickets until dec 29th

So they can't put other seats on sale until then hence the south stand only

I am not sure if the system will aloow you to other season ticket holders seats for them as that seat is in their shopping abskett not yours

Bought mine last night, the linked members had their seats in my basket too. Simple, quick and it didn't involve dealing with the TO, so that has to be a bonus.

Have just checked my tickets for Burnley and have noticed that I do not have any Royalty points for them - just wondering if it is just me before I call the ticket office

wouldnt be surprised if its near 18K attendance, though i think the club screwed up with the price

my son is 5, almost 6 and he (or should i say i!) will have to pay more to watch the burnley game than all prem games except those against in the platinum category

As said previously, the club have to charge a minimum of Â£10 for Adults to suit FA rules, however Burnley have to agree to the pricing structure aswell, and considering the fact we're a Premiership side and they are a poor Championship side, they'll look to make as much money as possible considering gate reciepts are split 40/40 between the 2 sides with the remaining amount going to the FA.

What I fail to understand is why there are only 10 points on offer when a 'Silver' league match would get you 15.

The minimum is actually Â£15 for adults in Round 3 and the split is 45%/45% of net gate receipts.

does anyone know for sure how many royalty points you get for this game

earlier in the thread . i thought somebody said it was 10, and from other people i've heard only 5

5 seems a bit poor for a game their charging Â£20 for?

Yes - intially you needed a minimum of 5 points to get a ticket (ie buy a membercard at Â£10 if you wanted to see the game).

The member cards at Â£10 now seem like a real disincentive for anyone to go. For games like this they should either have gone on general sale much earlier or they should drop the charge or maybe discount the ticket price to cover the member card cost.

Remember the FAQs about member cards,
Q: Do I need to get one?
A: They are really great
Q: Can I still get a paper ticket?
A: Yes. (but there wont be a selling window for it)

So essentially you have to fork out Â£10 for the priviledge of buying a ticket? That's a scandal.

I realise RFC are a business and will make a quick buck at anyones expense but they are surely shooting themselves in the foot there.

Indeed, but they have now relaxed that requirement for the Burnley game with a generous 1 day to go.

A mistake not getting them on general sale far earlier.

They ran out of feet ages ago!

I hear the Young Enterprise Scheme is very good at teaching novices how to run a successful business!

Mind you, a good starter for 10 would be the recognition that nowadays football supporters aren't as stupid or fanatical as they appear to think!
