I know it's early, but does anybody know anybody within the club who will be able to give an indication of next season's ST prices?

I would have thought that they'll have an Up or Down price, but I'm not a concession this time round and I'd like to know how much I've going to have to save.

I don't expect any answers really; just taking a punt.

From what I have heard in previous years it will be months before it is decided.

I'm not so sure they would increase prices if they're increasing the capacity as planned.....guess it depends on this and how the 2nd half of the season goes inc who may come in in Jan transfer window...

Will depend more on how much they think they can charge.

10% rise? what? (when wage increases are sub 3%).

Seriously, I would expect much more modest rises next season (if many at all), the novelty factor of the Prem. may have worn off a little by then for some, and the prospect of more seats to go round (as aforementioned) may play a part.

thats just for sidders wage rise and the petrol for mr mad's ferrari (to start it everyday - not to drive it!)

Costs my dad £20 for each game he misses, has missed two so far, that all makes the per game price higher for him.

as an aside when do the Half st's go on sale this season?

We sold out of STs before the start of the season...

...which will help avoid further comparisons with Wigan - greatly reduced attendances.

Very true. I know a lot of people who brought one on the "it could be only one season" basis. There could be potential for a lot more shared tickets next season.

Must admit I thought last years hike was pretty steep to be fair. I no that we are now seeing Premier league football but we are also getting fewer games.

I would hope that the club takes into account the sting in our pockets from last year and keeps rises pretty low (preferably not at all!) but am expecting £600 to be the figure going out of my account next summer

Must admit, we have "killed the fatted calf" (and sold it on) to afford the ST this season.


Whilst having no regrets whatsover, next season will be a real struggle.

I was one of the people unable to get a season ticket this year and whilst that has been disappointing I have always expected that as long as Reading stayed up, there would be no problem getting a ticket next season. I fully expect a lot of people will have to drop out next year, not because they are plastic, but because a ST is a lot of money to pay out and not something you can afford to do every year.

Mr M had been mentioning that he felt somewhere in the 750 - 800 region would be good for this season but listened to wise advice.
With each new seat costing 1000 this will mean an out lay of 12 million. Perhaps prices will rocket again next year to pay for this? I would be peed off [but not surprised] if prices rose to 800 next season. The extra revenue would mean an extra 15,540,000. So a small rise in available capital and seats all paid for......

Personally I am torn as several of my party are unable to attend on anything like a regular basis due to other commitments [trivia like work]. So it is costing me a fortune on a per match basis and with the 'buyback' scheme having failed to occur I am selling tickets at cost on occasion....

But with the ground being full if I do not renew there will be no chance of us all sitting together.

Given the increased income that the club would have next year in the Premiership (around 50m from TV), and the - to date - lack of any significant investment in the team over and above championship levels, any rise at all would seem most unwise to me.

Remember that this season is worth about an extra 20m to the club. More than enough to pay for the extension.
